Support an emerging leader in the non-profit sector

Minerva BC is proud to present an annual award in memory of Filomena Nalewajek, fondly remembered as “Fil”.  Fil was a Minerva board member and interim CEO in the years before her death, and her unexpected departure from Minerva signaled the severity of her battle with cancer.

Minerva BC is currently looking for supporters of The Filomena Nalewajek Non-Profit Leadership Award, which will enable an emerging female leader in the non-profit sector to participate in Women Leading the Way™, an interactive, part-time leadership training program, in Fil’s name.

Fil was a dynamic heart-centered leader who mentored and supported emerging leaders in both the non-profit and corporate sectors. As the former CEO of Canuck Place, her thoughtful leadership served as inspiration to many aspiring leaders who saw how well she integrated the passion for her work and family, while at the same time creating a deep and meaningful impact for the children and families she served at Canuck Place. We believe by sharing more about Filomena’s story, her career and the impact she made – this award will help inspire future leaders in the non-profit sector.

Minerva will raise $3,500 for the Filomena Nalewajek Non-Profit Leadership award which will be awarded annually to an emerging leader in the non-profit sector.
